HIV Awareness: Revisited

____An HIV awareness campaign I completed while at University never really felt completed before. I woke up one morning and suddenly had an idea of how I could tie the poster together a bit more. Click here for the original posters and developments.

I wanted to promote the 'relationship' side of the target audience more, which lead me to put the imagery into a 'coupley' photoframe with the copyline engraved onto the frame, which I think is a massive step forward from the originals and could be done in a short series of other style frames featuring other pictures. The red ribbon could even be tied to the frame and not even in the photo itself.

Think!

____A quick piece I thought of while driving home one day. I saw the 'SLOW' sign painted on the road and thought of the phrase "Slow and Steady Wins the Race". This lead me to create some simple imagery and add an informative piece to turn it into a campaign poster.

Although completed entirely in markers and fineliners, this could easily be recreated digitally, in photography or even a series of posters based around the same concept.

Lifeline: Print

____Although the original brief was to create a motion piece for Lifeline, I decided to try and create a printed poster instead.

Lifeline is a helpline for those in despair and distress who are in need of someone to talk to. After research, it showed that the biggest audience for this helpline is teenagers and young adults. This lead me to try and communicate to them in a simple way that they will relate to.

The poster is based on text-speak which the population of teenagers and young adults of today can heavily relate to. I wanted to promote simplicity in this poster; how simple it would be to just pick up the phone and dial the number. This was enhanced through a simple 3-colour pallet, as well as a single typographic use.

Below is some quick sketchbook development work of the concept.

Quick-Fire Branding and Logo Design (Solicitors)

____The second in the series of quick-fire branding and logo design. The logo was applied to stationary such as a Letterhead, Compliment Slip and Business Card. Simple website design to follow.

In this brief I set myself the task of creating a brandname and logo for a Solicitors. This meant that unlike my other work, I wasn't allowed to be too playful with the type or imagery, and this logo had to be professional, smart, mean business and be serious but with the feeling that they were easily approachable as a company.

This is the results.

The following is the fast development work I completed in order to get to the above final stages (mostly brainstorm in this one).

Aaaand finally, a series of logos came out like this.

Quick-Fire Branding and Logo Design (Fashion)

____Needing to refresh myself of logo design, I decided to set myself 2 differing quick-fire general logos to complete and add to stationary (Letterhead, Compliment Slip and Business Card). Simple website designs for each to follow.

The first brief I set myself was to create a brandname and logo for a Fashion Advice website. Not necessarily a design label or shop, but just somewhere that would post up fashion-related news, events and offer helpful advice and tips, etc.

This is the results.

The above final sketch is of a potential design for a website page, with each item of clothing clickable to take you to the appropriate page. I thought a more 'visual' page would be far more appropriate if possible than ordinary labelled buttons with text. The setup would be fashion shelves on a wall with items of clothing hanging off or sitting on the shelves.

Finally, this is how a series of logos developed.
